Pet Microchipping

Keeping track of adventurous pets

"…love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation. – Kabil Gibran"

Every year, there are thousands of pets that disappear from their loving homes.

Even the best pet owners can’t guarantee your pet won’t slip away from a secure lease or yard. We can tell you many happy stories of families reuniting with their pets because they have a microchip. We even have stories where pets have been reunited after years of separation. But we can also tell you stories of many more lost pets who never find their way back home. This makes us sad.

Take note: if you find a lost pet, bring it to our office, and we will scan it for you at no charge. It is a great feeling to reunite a pet with its owner!

How Does it Work?

A small microchip the size of a piece of rice is injected under your pet’s skin. The microchip has your pet’s permanent ID and your contact information connected. The microchip can never be removed or become impossible to read. We use 911 PET CHIP.

If your pet is lost, an ID scanner is used to reunite you with your pet. Most veterinarians and animal shelters have microchip scanners.
